“What is really terrible, in not to age, but to age as an Old Person.”
Confined to the interior of a guesthouse, Ludivine, Chloe, Ada and Louise, spend their retirement dreaming of sunshine and rest, while trying to stop the inexorable march of time that imprisons them. But, could this agoraphobia that they feel be just the fear of death? Someone new arrives at the guesthouse, Fernande, and she will be the one to rock their cotton candy existence, and upsets the daily routine of these four old ladies. This is a dramatic comedy full of tears and laughter, pretense and reality, truths and lies. 2011 French Cultures Festival official event. This work is funded in part by grants from the Texan-French Alliance for the Arts. |
